Sending to multiple countries

To send SMS across multiple countries:

Prepare your contact list with phone numbers including country codes
Use the full international format: +COUNTRYCODE + PHONENUMBER
Example: +255712345678 (Tanzania), +254712345678 (Kenya), +256712345678 (Uganda)

Tegasms automatically routes each message to the correct country based on the country code.

Always include the country code (+) in your phone numbers when sending to multiple countries. Without the country code, Tegasms assumes the number is in your default country.

Carrier routing

Tegasms intelligently routes messages to the best carrier for each number:

Tegasms receives your message
Analyzes the phone number to determine the country and carrier
Routes the message to the appropriate carrier
Carrier delivers to the recipient's phone

This happens automatically. You don't need to specify which carrier to use.

International SMS best practices

Use country codes, Always include the full country code (+) in phone numbers

Verify numbers, Ensure phone numbers are valid for their country. Invalid numbers will fail to deliver.

Consider time zones, When scheduling campaigns, account for time zone differences across countries

Test first, Send a small test to each country before launching large campaigns

Monitor delivery rates, Check your analytics to see how each country performs

Respect local regulations, Each country has different SMS regulations. Ensure your messages comply with local laws.

Some countries have strict regulations on SMS content and sender IDs. For example, some countries require sender IDs to be pre-approved, or prohibit certain types of messages. Check local regulations before sending campaigns.
